Kymco ATV's

Kymco is a trade name for the company Kwang Yang Motor Co, Ltd. This company does manufacture scooters as well as motorcycles and ATV’s. They are located in Taiwan and they are currently the largest scooter manufacturer in Taiwan. The company began in 1963 making parts for Honda. They began their own business of scooters, motorcycles and ATV’s. They manufacture over 480,000 machines per year. They also have overseas factories in Jakarta, Shanghai, Changsha, China and Chengdu in China.
Their ATV are classified by the engine size, they have 50cc engines to 100 cc engines. Model numbers KXR90, Maxxwer 50, Maxxer 90, MXU 50, MXU 50 Reverse are covered under these engine sizes. With 125cc engines are model numbers MXer, MXer on road. The 150cc engines are MXer, Mxer on road and MX150. 250 cc engines have the Mongoose/KXR250 off road, KXR 250 on road and the MXY 250.The 300cc engine ATVs are the MXU 300 and the Maxxer 300 and lastly the 500cc engines are model number MXU 500.
Compared to other more nationally known brands these engine sizes seem very small compared to the 700cc and 800 cc we have here in the United States but these are made in Taiwan and there isn’t that much use for power there. There are some available here in the United States if you are looking for an ATV for a beginner, they could get used to the ATV’s with these models.
